As a Parent, you love all your children the same.  But every now and again, life throws you  curve, and you are forced to prove how much.  This is the story of Zane.  Zane was, and still is, particularly special to us because he had Spina Bifida, and because we did something very unusual for him, even before he was born.  During his short but happy life, Zane had to work five times harder then others, and that made each milestone five time more exciting.

Some came here today to read the story, some came here to see pictures and to learn about the progress he made.  I hope we can do both.  All children make amazing progress, but Zane was unique because of the special push he got early on.   Many of you prayed regularly for Zane, and those prayers were answered over and over, and we thank you for that.

Today, Zane rests peacefully in the grave, awaiting the voice of Jesus on resurrection morning (Rom. 6:23; 1 Tim. 6:15, 16; Eccl. 9:5, 6; Ps. 146:3, 4; John 11:11-14; Col. 3:4; 1 Cor. 15:51-54; 1 Thess. 4:13-17; John 5:28, 29; Rev. 20:1-10.)  There is no more pain, no more struggles.  The next sound he hears will be that of Jesus calling his name, followed by the sound of his mother and my footsteps as we run to scoop him up in our arms.  In heaven Zane will be renewed, strong, and healthy.  Even so, come Lord Jesus.

Everyone who came in contact with him loved him.  Even strangers noticed the love and acceptance Zane exuded.  In this home he will be missed, his music, his sounds, his piano and computer game playing, his zest of oatmeal, and his glorious smile.  We loved you with all our hearts son, and we will miss you forever.
